The main thing you’ll experience at Lone Jack Conservation Area is the roar of quiet.
The centerpiece of this 300-acre reserve is the 35-acre Lone Jack Lake. It’s surrounded by timber and open areas in the rolling hills of southeastern Jackson County.
There are no established trails, but you’re welcome to bushwhack or walk across the earthen dam.
The main attractions of this area are fishing, bird watching and simply getting away from it all to catch your breath.
LONE JACK LAKE CONSERVATION AREA
This 295-acre reserve includes a 35-acre lake populated with Black Bass, Catfish, Crappie and Sunfish. The also includes a boat launch ramp and tow fishing jetties (one accessible for people with disabilities).
