Sometimes the best walks are right in front of us and don't even require a trail.
It’s easy to speed by them as we commute to and fro.
Case in point: Try walking the sidewalk along the dams at Lakewood on N.E. Lakewood Boulevard. Sunrise and sunset are magnified by the water and the marina. You’ll also encounter ducks, geese and (depending on the season), people enjoying the water.
Although you can’t park there, 4698 NE Dick Howser Drive will bring you to the point between both Lakewood Lakes. You can begin your walk from the east or the west.
Please note that, beyond the sidewalks, side trails are designated for Lakewood property owners only.
